The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is pleased to partner with the Martin Olav Sabo Lecture Series and Sabo Center for Democracy and Citizenship at Augsburg College in sponsoring a regional forum in Minneapolis. A growing body of evidence suggests there is much to gain when health and housing practitioners collaborate to meet the needs of our nation’s growing senior population. This event will commence with a keynote address from former Senator Byron Dorgan on federal policymaking and bipartisanship with a focus on the health and housing nexus. A panel discussion will follow featuring former members of Congress examining the federal budget and appropriations processes and challenges in the current political climate. This discussion will be followed by two additional panels that will highlight efforts to more effectively integrate housing and health care on behalf of our nation’s seniors. The event will conclude with a reception.
