Judah Axelrod is the associate director of data science research methods at the Urban Institute. He works on Urban’s Technology and Data Science team and in collaboration with the Center for Equity and Community Impact to drive policy research using data science tools and methods. Axelrod leads Urban’s work on the equitable use of AI and automated systems and has expertise leading complex, interdisciplinary research projects that leverage tools such as web scraping, data linkage, imputation, statistical modeling, geospatial analysis, and natural language processing.
Axelrod holds a BA in economics from Rutgers University and an MSc in data science from the London School of Economics.
