Using Climate Scenarios to Build Health Resilience in Gulf Coast Communities
Body

Communities across the Gulf Coast face growing health risks from hurricanes, extreme heat, flooding, and other climate-related disasters. As local leaders work to strengthen disaster preparedness and resilience, scenario planning can help communities grapple with uncertain futures and develop more equitable and effective health strategies.

Join the Urban Institute and local health leaders from the Gulf Coast to discuss their collaborative work to advance health resilience using climate scenarios. The presenters will give a short overview of scenario planning, introduce a new data tool and planning guide for health resilience planning in the Gulf, and share lessons from pilot workshops in Florida and Mississippi.
