As the housing market in the Buffalo Niagara region continues to accelerate, and affordable housing issues begin to emerge, this program will provide timely and valuable information for developers, planners, financiers and other parties involved in multifamily housing.

Stockton Williams, Executive Director of the ULI Terwilliger Center for Housing, will present national trends and perspectives in multifamily housing development, including demographic changes, design and financing, as well as issues and emerging solutions for addressing affordable housing in many American metropolitan areas. Mr. Williams will be joined by a panel of local experts in housing and residential development, including the chief municipal planner for the City of Buffalo (Brendan Mehaffy), an affordable housing advocate and developer (Aaron Bartley), and a private real estate developer with experience developing residential projects in multiple markets (Nick Sinatra). A moderated panel discussion will follow Mr. Williams’s presentation and opening remarks by each of the panelists. Tom Fox, Ellicott Development Company, will moderate the discussion.
