The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is releasing the long-term outcomes of the Family Options Study, a multisite random assignment experiment designed to study the impact of various housing and services interventions for homeless families. The study’s goal was to learn more about the effects of different housing and services interventions for homeless families. Participating families were randomly assigned to one of four interventions: a housing subsidy, project-based transitional housing, community-based rapid rehousing, or usual care. The research team will present the study methodology and findings, and policy leaders will reflect on the study’s findings.
