Young children staying in shelters have unique needs to ensure their development is nurtured. The Administration for Children and Families designed a self-assessment tool for shelters to use to assess how the physical, socio-emotional, and intellectual environment can support young children. Join SchoolHouse Connection, Partners for Impact, and the People’s Emergency Center to learn more about the self-assessment tool, including how North Carolina and Pennsylvania have been able to work across shelter and early childhood communities to make impactful changes in the lives of families with young children experiencing homelessness.
