With a theme of "Uniting Against Poverty: New Alliances and Partnerships," this conference highlights non-traditional partnerships that bring fresh solutions to the country’s longstanding fight against poverty, such as labor empowerment, healthcare, and technology. Marian Wright Edelman, founder and president of the Children's Defense Fund, will be the keynote speaker, and panelists will include Aaron Gornstein, president and CEO of Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH); Keren Horn, associate professor of economics at the University of Massachusetts Boston; and Maurice Jones, president and CEO of Local Initiatives Support Coalition (LISC).
