Jonathan Rose’s Passion for Mixed-Income Communities

October 22, 2015

What inspires developers who create healthy, sustainable, mixed-income communities?

Jonathan Rose talks about his childhood experiences, ranging from lines of applicants for New York City’s Mitchell-Lama program to the planning for Roosevelt Island. What did he envision as an ideal community?

This video was created in conjunction with the How Housing Matters conference, a project of the National Building Museum co-sponsored with The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Office of Policy Development & Research at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the National Housing Conference. The conference was held in Washington, DC, in October 2014.
